INVOLVE 2023 - The Stars that Guide Us

Professional development is a key part of our focus for our kaimahi as they support rakatahi in our hapori. This years conference was INVOLVE 2023: The Stars that Guide Us. Tukua kia tū takitahi ngā whetū i te rangi - Let each star in the sky shine its own light. It's the first time the conference has been held in a few years, so it definitely wasn't one to miss.

INVOLVE aims to unite people in the youth sector, offering research, training, and best practices. It provides a space for connection-making and collaboration, bringing together individuals from various roles and locations to celebrate diversity and strength.

The learnings from youth voices have been important to keep our youth development programmes relevant. The shift from trauma informed towards healing centered and having a Code of Ethics are significant shifts towards accountability in youth development and means that professional development remains key.
