Young people are our future
The Southern Youth Development has been helping young people find out who they are and where they fit in since 1987.
Our team of qualified kaimahi provide a range of personal development and learning experiences for young people to assist them to reach their potential.
We work directly with training providers, schools, tertiary institutions and community groups.
A wide variety of activities with young people
With support for community-based youth projects in the Dunedin area.
- Youth Development, currently offering the Impact and Move programmes, including: Leadership, mentoring, self-development, empowerment, team-work, and peer mediation;
- Work-willing, activities including: both theory and practical, and work-placement;
- Community Support, including operational support of community-led youth projects, volunteering and supporting groups of young people involved in community projects.
- Governance support of community-led youth initiatives, professional training & development of youth workers and those working with youth clients.
